Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG) is seeking a Systems Engineer II to join our Enterprise Systems team. This role is a technical powerhouse focused on the backbone of our corporate ecosystem: Identity, Automation, and SaaS Integration. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the automated "glue" that connects our enterprise tools. As an engineering escalation point, you will solve the most complex technical hurdles facing our Service Desk and ensure our automated onboarding and offboarding processes are flawless. If you thrive in a startup environment and enjoy balancing strategy with handsâon execution, this is your opportunity to drive meaningful impact.
Duties and responsibilities may include:
- Identity & Lifecycle Management: Act as the primary owner for Okta administration, including SSO, MFA, Lifecycle Management (LCM), and complex SCIM provisioning.
- Automation Engineering: Build and maintain sophisticated automated workflows using Okta Workflows and custom API integrations to streamline the employee lifecycle.
- Core Integrations: Own and optimize the data flow between Oracle (HRIS) and Okta, ensuring the "source of truth" accurately drives identity downstream to all connected systems.
- SaaS Administration: Provide expertâlevel configuration for the Atlassian suite (Jira & Confluence), Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom.
- Observability & Monitoring: Utilize Datadog to monitor SaaS application health, build dashboards for system performance, and alert on identityâbased security anomalies or integration failures.
- Tier 3 Support: Serve as the final technical escalation point for the Service Desk team, resolving complex issues related to account provisioning, access gaps, and system bugs.
- API & Data Management: Leverage REST APIs to automate repetitive tasks, perform bulk data updates, and extract data for reporting across the enterprise stack.
- Documentation & Optimization: Write and maintain highâquality documentation in Confluence and identify manual "toil" to design automated solutions that drive efficiency.
- Participate in onâcall rotation.
What skills are important to us:
- Required: 3+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Identity Management, or DevOpsâlite roles within a cloudâfirst environment.
- Identity Expertise: Deep knowledge of SAML, OIDC, OAuth, and SCIM protocols.
- Automation Mastery: Proven track record of using Okta Workflows or similar orchestration tools to automate IT tasks.
- Integration Experience: Direct experience managing the synchronization between HRIS platforms (like Oracle) and Identity Providers.
- API Literacy: Strong ability to interact with REST APIs (via Postman, Python, or Bash) to manipulate data and automate SaaS platforms.
- Atlassian Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Jira (Workflows, Permissions, Automation) and Confluence.
- Preferred: Observability Skills: Experience using Datadog (or similar tools like Splunk/New Relic) for SaaS monitoring and log analysis.
- Agile Mindset: Comfortable working in sprints and using Jira to track project progress.
- Analytical Approach: A focus on finding root causes through log analysis and data rather than just treating symptoms.
- Collaborative Nature: A desire to mentor Service Desk analysts and level up the broader team's technical knowledge through shared learning.
