About The Team

Launched in 2021, Fanatics Betting & Gaming operates an online and retail sports betting business with the Fanatics Sportsbook covering 95% of the U.S. online sports bettor market. The team maintains 22 retail sports betting locations, including the only sportsbook inside an NFL stadium. Headquarters and offices are located in New York, with additional locations in Denver, Leeds, and Dublin.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Data Analyst III to join our enterprise reporting team, playing a key role in developing and maintaining reporting frameworks, creating dashboards, and ensuring data quality and governance.

Responsibilities

  • Design dashboards with a long-term mindset, ensuring they are optimized, scalable, and maintainable.
  • Maintain and continuously update dashboards to keep data accurate and aligned with evolving business needs.
  • Enhance existing BI assets, incorporating new data sources and stakeholder feedback to keep reports relevant.
  • Assist with data governance activities, including metadata management and reporting documentation.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data models to support reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics.
  • Support data modeling, transformation, and automation to improve reporting efficiency.
  • Gather and refine reporting requirements from finance, compliance, and business teams.
  • Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and quality control checks to maintain reporting integrity.
  • Develop processes to streamline data extraction, transformation, and reporting workflows.
  • Support automated reporting solutions to reduce manual effort and enhance consistency.
  • Investigate and reconcile reporting variances across reports, ensuring KPI accuracy.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify root causes of discrepancies and implement fixes.
  • Generate and maintain reports on key business metrics for governance, financial, and operational performance.
  • Communicate findings and insights to product managers, developers, and stakeholders through clear reports and presentations.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar role.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Experience with data modeling using tools such as DBT.
  • Expertise in source code control with GitHub, using branching strategies and best practices.
  • Proficiency in building dashboards and reporting tools such as Tableau, Sigma, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Strong customer orientation, outcome focus, and data-driven mindset within high-growth environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner closely with stakeholders, earning trust and prioritizing relationships.
  • Logical and analytical problem-solving skills and interest in AI in analytics.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Positive, flexible attitude and willingness to embrace new initiatives.
  • Understanding of sports betting or experience in customer behavior analysis is a significant plus.
  • Must be open to travel for team offsites and events.

Salary

Salary Range: £76,000 - £96,000 USD per year
