We are seeking a Data Analyst I to join our growing Data organization in the Regulatory Reporting team. As a Data Analyst I – Regulatory Reporting will serve as a key contributor in ensuring Fanatics Betting & Gaming meets all state-level regulatory reporting requirements. This entry-level position requires a mix of technical acumen, analytical rigor, and strong attention to detail. The analyst will translate complex regulatory requirements into precise data specifications and deliver accurate, timely reports to regulators and internal stakeholders.
You will work closely with Compliance, Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, Product, and Upstream Engineering teams to ensure our data pipelines and reporting align with evolving state-by-state obligations. Responsibilities
- Understand, interpret, and document regulatory reporting requirements for each U.S. state where FBG operates.
- Build, validate, and deliver regulatory reports and data extracts to meet state and compliance deadlines.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to validate data quality and reconcile reporting discrepancies.
- Partner with Compliance and Analytics Engineering to ensure reporting logic, schema, and ETL processes reflect accurate and compliant data.
- Investigate and resolve data variances or reporting issues quickly and accurately.
- Support audits, reviews, and data validation efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain documentation outlining data definitions, reporting logic, and controls.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance data accuracy, efficiency, and automation in the reporting process.
- Work independently to manage priorities, timelines, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar role.
- Basic analytical skills, with ability to extract data from prepared sources and transform it into both ad-hoc and structured continuous insights.
- Demonstrated ability to partner closely with engineers and stakeholders, earning trust and prioritising relationships.
- Strong report writing skills with the ability to gather, evaluate and analyse relevant information while structuring material in a logical and coherent manner.
- Ability to work in high-growth environments.
- Highly outcome oriented and data driven.
- Experienced with building dashboards and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, Sigma, Power BI, Looker).
- Experience with data languages including SQL or Snowflake, and tools like Tableau, Micro-strategy, Redshift.
- Excellent influencing and problem resolution skills.
- Positive and flexible attitude, a willingness to embrace new initiatives and develop expertise in the Operations function of the business.
- Must be open to travel for team offsites and events.
