As part of our continued growth and ambitious expansion across borders, we are introducing a newly created role: Senior Accounts Payable Manager. This is a unique opportunity for a well-rounded AP professional to step into a broader leadership position within a dynamic, fast-paced sports merchandise business. You will lead a diverse team responsible for end-to-end Accounts Payable operations and financial administration across multiple international entities. Working closely with multinational suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders across the UK, Europe, and the US, you will ensure that our payment operations are scalable, efficient, and globally aligned.
How you will make an impact
- Team & Process Leadership: Oversees AP across multiple teams, regions, and business units. Leads a larger and more complex team structure, including AP Managers, Admin Financial, and AP Leads. Focuses on leadership development and cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Procurement, and IT.
- Supplier & Partner Engagement: Manages strategic supplier relationships, escalations, and contract terms. Acts as the key finance contact for third-party suppliers and wholesale partners globally. Supports onboarding of new vendors and ensures alignment with global payment practices.
- Process Improvement & Systems: Leads system enhancements, automation projects, and process transformation. Drives initiatives to streamline AP workflows and improve efficiency.
- Reporting & Controls: Delivers insights to senior finance leaders to support forecasting, budgeting, and cost control. Monitors KPIs, supplier spend, and payment cycles. Supports month-end close, audit readiness, and compliance with internal controls.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Works closely with Finance & Accounting teams in the UK, International offices, and the US. Partners with Buying and Merch, Operations, and IT to align AP processes with business needs.

- Proven experience managing end-to-end Accounts Payable operations in a high-volume, multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, motivate, and empower a multi-functional team, including AP Managers and specialists.
- Experience collaborating with international suppliers and cross-border finance teams.
- A proactive mindset and relentless pursuit of process improvement, automation, and operational excellence.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to influence AP policy, system design, and transformation initiatives.
