Job Description
Role Overview:
As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in driving financial performance across our retail, ecommerce, wholesale and licensing channels. Partnering with teams across all business functions, you’ll deliver actionable insights, support decision-making, and help shape strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with commercial teams to provide financial analysis and insight.
- Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational realities.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across channels (e.g. store performance, ecommerce, licensing).
- Develop dashboards and models to track commercial performance and scenario planning.
- Conduct post-investment analysis on marketing campaigns, new store openings, and promotional events.
- Work closely with other data teams to consolidate commercial data and align reporting.
- Identify risks and opportunities in trading performance and make recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Part or fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in a commercial finance role, preferably within retail, sports, or consumer products.
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Micro Strategy) is a plus.
- Comfortable working with large data sets and translating numbers into commercial insight.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for sports and an understanding of fan-driven consumer behaviour is desirable.
