We ignite the passions of global sports fans and maximize the presence and reach for our hundreds of sports partners globally by offering products and services across Fanatics Commerce, Fanatics Collectibles, and Fanatics Betting & Gaming, allowing sports fans to Buy, Collect, and Bet.

The Product Director for Formula 1 is a senior leader responsible for setting the long-term product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Fanatics Collectibles’ global F1 portfolio across trading cards, stickers, memorabilia, and future product categories. This role leads a high-performing product organization—driving innovation, operational excellence, and cross-functional alignment to deliver world-class collectible experiences for F1 fans worldwide.

The ideal candidate is a strong people leader, a strategic thinker, and an expert storyteller with executive presence and the ability to influence at all levels. They bring deep knowledge of consumer products, licensing, and the global F1 ecosystem, coupled with a passion for motorsport culture. They excel at delivering products on time, unlocking new partnerships, and leveraging the breadth of F1’s brand assets to drive growth and fan engagement. This is a full-time role, in the designated office 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and own the multi-year product vision, roadmap, and release strategy for the entire F1 collectibles portfolio.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers—raising the bar on product thinking, execution, creativity, and cross-functional partnership.
  • Establish a culture of innovation and experimentation, pushing boundaries in materials, technology, formats, and fan experiences.
  • Drive organizational alignment around product priorities through clear communication, compelling storytelling, and data-driven decision making.
Innovation & Category Growth
  • Identify emerging product, technology, and fan engagement trends to shape the next generation of F1 collectibles.
  • Explore new categories and platforms (digital, experiential, premium, global exclusives) that elevate the F1 fan journey.
  • Champion the integration of F1 storytelling—drivers, teams, races, history—into product narratives and experiences.
  • Leverage Fanatics’ broader ecosystem to build cross-category product innovation (apparel, hardgoods, events, etc.).
Licensing, Partnerships & Relationship Management
  • Serve as the senior product-facing representative to F1 and its ecosystem (teams, drivers, promoters, agencies).
  • Build trust and credibility with executive-level partners; negotiate product rights, approvals, timelines, and innovation opportunities.
  • Unlock new partnerships by leveraging existing F1 products and expanding integration across teams, drivers, technology partners, and global markets.
  • Ensure all licensing agreements are strategically aligned with product vision, profitability goals, and future category expansion.
Product Development & Operational Excellence
  • Oversee all phases of product development, ensuring products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Partner with manufacturing, design, operations, and supply chain to ensure feasibility, accuracy, and consistency throughout development.
  • Guide autograph, relic, and memorabilia strategy—optimizing value, authenticity, and product differentiation.
  • Ensure brand guidelines, safety standards, and global compliance requirements are rigorously met.
Go-to-Market, Insights & Performance
  • Lead quarterly business reviews and executive presentations showcasing roadmap progress, category performance, and future opportunities.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and e-commerce to maximize revenue, expand distribution, and create compelling product stories.
  • Analyze consumer insights, market data, and retailer feedback to inform product decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Track KPIs, forecast demand, and manage product P&L to maximize profitability and long-term sustainable growth.

Deep understanding of licensing models, consumer products economics, and global collectible trends. Strong familiarity with Formula 1—its fan culture, teams, drivers, season rhythm, and commercial ecosystem. Executive presence with exceptional presentation skills; able to communicate complex ideas simply and persuasively. Ability to think strategically while executing flawlessly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. High creativity paired with strong operational discipline and attention to detail.

Qualifications
  • 8–10+ years of product management experience, preferably in consumer products, licensing, entertainment, or sports.
  • Proven experience leading product teams and managing senior stakeholders across global organizations.
  • Background in developing innovative physical products; collectibles experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field; MBA a plus.
  • Passion for the Formula 1 world and global motorsports.
