About the Position
We are seeking a Data Analyst II to join our growing Data organization within the Financial Analytics team. The analyst will focus on creating insight, building product, financial, and marketing reporting, and partnering closely with Accounting, Tax, and Finance functions.
Responsibilities
- Develop a strong understanding of Fanatics Betting and Gaming and related products and operations.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders in Finance, Tax & Data.
- Design and build insightful metric definitions, KPIs, and reporting.
- Drive performance in product, acquisition, marketing, & CRM across Sportsbook, Casino & Markets.
- Collaborate with Analysts, Engineers, and Data Scientists to find solutions to business problems.
- Gather and present insights, metrics and activities to key stakeholders, becoming a trusted source of intelligence over time.
- Remain current on technology and trends in data analytics and the sports betting & gaming world.
- Work cross‑functionally with Product and Engineering teams to understand greenfield initiatives and translate requirements into stakeholder impact.
- Be open to occasional travel to Fanatics Betting & Gaming offices and other locations for conferences, events, meetings, and team building activities.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with ability to extract data and transform it into ad‑hoc and continuous insights.
- Demonstrated ability to partner closely with stakeholders, earning trust and prioritizing relationships.
- Experience building dashboards and reporting tools (Tableau, Microstrategy, Power BI, Looker).
- Customer‑obsessed, experience focused, outcome‑oriented and data‑driven; experience in high‑growth environments.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Excellent influencing and problem‑solving skills.
- Positive and flexible attitude with willingness to embrace new initiatives.
- Experience or interest in the sports/betting industry or financial services is a bonus but not required.
- Experience with DBT or equivalent data transformation tools is a bonus.
- Experience with AI solutions to expedite coding and analysis is a bonus.
- Experience with SOX and internal controls is a plus.
