About the Team
Launched in 2021, Fanatics Betting and Gaming is the online and retail sports betting subsidiary of Fanatics, a global digital sports platform. The Fanatics Sportsbook is available to 95% of the addressable online sports bettor market in the U.S. Fanatics Casino is currently available online in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Fanatics Betting and Gaming operates twenty-two retail sports betting locations, including the only sportsbook inside an NFL stadium at Northwest Stadium. We are seeking a Data Analyst III to join our growing data organization in the enterprise reporting team. This data analyst plays a key role in developing and maintaining enterprise reporting frameworks. This role focuses on report creation, data modeling, transformation, and validation while ensuring compliance with internal governance. This developer helps bridge the gap between data engineering and analytics, ensuring that high-quality, reliable data is available for decision-making. Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end data projects in a fast-paced environment — from scoping and modeling to delivery and stakeholder adoption.
- Experience working in a product-driven environment, partnering directly with product managers and engineering teams to influence product decisions — strongly preferred.
- Develop AI-powered tools and automations that streamline data extraction, transformation, and reporting — reducing manual effort and enabling self-service analytics.
- Monitor key metrics for anomalies and data quality issues, investigate root causes, and implement fixes in models or dashboards.
- Build and maintain scalable dashboards, reports, and data models that power the FMX product experience and surface KPIs to leadership and stakeholders.
- Apply a product-minded lens to analytics: surface trends, deliver data-driven recommendations, and influence product and business decisions.
- Partner with product, finance, compliance, and engineering to keep BI tools accurate, relevant, and aligned with evolving needs.
- Communicate findings to PMs, developers, and other stakeholders through clear reports and presentations.
- Support data governance through metadata management, validation, reconciliation, and clear documentation.
Qualifications
- 4+ years as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or similar role in a fast-paced, high-growth industry.
- Advanced SQL and hands-on data modeling experience (e.g. dbt).
- Experience building dashboards in a BI tool (e.g. Sigma, Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Experience applying AI tools and building automations in an analytics context — a strong plus.
- Comfortable with GitHub for source control and collaboration.
- Customer-obsessed, outcome-oriented, and effective when priorities shift quickly.
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to earn stakeholder trust.
- Understanding of sports betting or customer behavior analysis is a significant plus.
- Open to travel for team offsites and events.
