An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller or Head of Finance to join a highly successful, established and privately owned multi-site Group in Surrey. Reporting directly to the owners and directors, you will take overall responsibility for the Group's finance function, providing accurate financial information and commercial insight to support decision-making. This is a senior, autonomous role within a successful family-owned business where your expertise will be trusted and your contribution will have a genuine impact. It would suit someone who enjoys being close to the business and taking ownership of a broad finance function. The Role You will oversee the finance team, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting and effective financial management across the Group. Key responsibilities include: Taking overall responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of Group financial reporting Preparing and overseeing monthly management accounts and statutory accounts Leading budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning Reviewing performance against budget, identifying variances and providing commentary to the directors Providing meaningful financial insight to support commercial and strategic decisions Monitoring profitability and identifying opportunities to improve financial performance Reviewing and xdjnayx strengthening financial processes, policies and controls Managing and supporting the finance team, ensuring workloads and deadlines are effectively managed Coordinating the annual audit and liaising with external accountants, auditors, banks, insurers, tax advisers and other professional advisers Ensuring appropriate financial, tax and regulatory compliance, including managing HMRC queries Reviewing payroll and maintaining appropriate records Managing insurance requirements and claims where required Working closely with the directors on comm...
