Family Martial Arts in Leigh is seeking a dedicated, professional Martial Arts Instructor to join our growing coaching team. This is a career opportunity, not simply a part-time teaching role. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about martial arts, committed to personal development, and motivated to positively influence the lives of students through high-quality instruction. Our academy delivers structured martial arts programmes designed to develop confidence, discipline, leadership, and resilience in children, teens and adults. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering these programmes while helping to maintain the professional standards and positive culture our academy is known for.
Position Details
- Location: Family Martial Arts Leigh – Leigh, Greater Manchester
- Salary: £24,000 per year (£17ph)
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 15:00 – 21:30
The Opportunity
This position offers the chance to become part of a professional martial arts academy environment where instructors are supported, mentored and encouraged to grow. You will work closely with the senior instructor team to deliver structured classes including:
- Ninja Cubs (Early Years martial arts programme)
- Little Leaders (Foundation programme for young students)
- Beginner and Advanced martial arts classes
Our programmes focus not only on martial arts techniques, but also on character development, leadership and life skills.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking an individual who approaches martial arts instruction as a profession, not just a hobby. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong martial arts background with recognised rank or equivalent experience
- A genuine passion for teaching and mentoring students
- Professional standards of conduct and reliability
- Confidence leading classes and managing groups of students
- Strong communication skills with both students and parents
- A growth mindset and willingness to continually develop as an instructor
Experience teaching children and families is highly beneficial.
