Family Fostering Partners is looking to work with an experienced Independent Fostering Assessment Social Worker to support prospective foster carer assessments across the Midlands, Shropshire and Staffordshire area. We are committed to recruiting and supporting foster carers who can provide safe, stable and nurturing homes for children. High-quality assessments are a key part of ensuring the right families are approved and properly prepared for fostering.

The role will include:

  • Completing thorough, analytical and evidence-based prospective foster carer assessments
  • Working with prospective foster carers throughout the assessment process
  • Preparing clear, well-written reports suitable for fostering panel
  • Exploring applicants’ experience, motivation, support networks and capacity to meet children’s needs
  • Maintaining a professional, child-centred and safeguarding-focused approach throughout

We would be interested in hearing from someone who has:

  • Experience completing prospective foster carer assessments
  • A strong understanding of fostering, safeguarding and child-centred practice
  • Excellent analytical and report-writing skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage assessments professionally
  • A relevant social work qualification and registration, where required
