As our Field Deputy Manager, you'll support multiple nursery settings across Surrey, working alongside our fantastic teams to maintain high standards of care and education. No two days will be the same, making this the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, sharing best practice, and supporting colleagues across different settings. This is a field-based role and requires regular travel between our nurseries across Surrey. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.
  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery.
  • Assist in managing the acceptance and administration of medication and ensure care plans are thorough and up to date for children or staff with health conditions.
  • Ensure that all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
  • Promote respect and credibility for this position through effective communication skills, impartiality, and consistency.
  • Inspire staff team with creative ideas and new challenges with aim to achieve outstanding practice.
  • Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file.
  • Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.

Requirements:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
  • Leadership experience - Essential
  • Over 1 years’ experience of working in Early Years - Essential
  • Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
  • Over 1 years’ experience of working in a management position - Desirable
  • Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable
  • Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding – Desirable
