Footsteps Nursery Cannock is looking for a reliable and hard-working Nursery Housekeeper to help keep our nursery clean, safe, and welcoming for children, families, and staff. You will play a vital role behind the scenes, ensuring our playrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal areas are maintained to the highest standards every day. The role:
As Nursery Housekeeper, you will help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the nursery. Responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and maintaining playrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal areas
- Sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitising surfaces, and emptying bins
- Cleaning and disinfecting children's bathrooms, nappy changing areas, and high-touch surfaces
- Supporting laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and organising nursery linen
- Assisting with washing up and maintaining cleanliness within kitchen areas
- Using cleaning products and equipment safely and appropriately
- Monitoring cleaning stock levels and reporting replenishment requirements
- Following Health & Safety, COSHH, infection control, and safeguarding procedures at all times
- Supporting periodic deep cleaning tasks as required
- Working closely with the nursery team to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all
