Role Description

This full-time Senior Associate Family Lawyer role is based in London with a mostly remote but occasionalky hybrid working arrangement, allowing usual work from home alongside regular in-office collaboration for fun stuff and training- or just because you fancy some company.

The role involves managing a varied caseload of family law matters, including divorce, financial remedies, child arrangements, domestic abuse, and cohabitation issues.

Day-to-day responsibilities include advising clients, drafting pleadings and correspondence, preparing bundles, negotiating settlements, and representing clients at hearings where appropriate.

The Senior Associate will supervise junior team members, contribute to developing innovative service offerings such as fixed-fee and unbundled services, and help refine internal processes to maintain affordability and efficiency.

The role also includes building client relationships, participating in business development initiatives, and upholding strong ethical and professional standards in all aspects of practice.

Qualifications

  • Qualified solicitor with significant post-qualification experience in family law, including divorce, financial remedies, and child-related matters.
  • Strong skills in legal research, case analysis, drafting pleadings and agreements, and preparing clear, accurate client correspondence.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a busy caseload, prioritize effectively, and work both independently and collaboratively within a small team.
  • Excellent client care, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and empathy.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers or support staff, with a commitment to knowledge sharing and team development.
