Footsteps Binley Nursery provides a warm, welcoming environment where children from birth to five years can learn, play, and grow in a safe and stimulating setting. Thoughtfully designed indoor spaces are complemented by engaging outdoor play areas that encourage children to explore, be active, and develop their curiosity in all weathers. At Footsteps Nursery, learning through play is at the heart of everything we do, with a wide range of activities and resources that support children’s development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage. We value the importance of outdoor experiences and ensure children have regular opportunities to enjoy fresh air, build confidence, and develop key life skills through hands-on learning.
We are committed to promoting children's development through both planned and child-led activities. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to participate in the children's extracurricular activities, which include monthly sessions in French, Football, and Arts and Crafts. We actively encourage our staff to explore and engage with the wider community together with the children. This can include outings to the post office, shops, or the park to enhance the children's physical development. To ensure a seamless transition, training will be provided during the initial few weeks.
Essential Criteria - Qualifications/Experience:
- Full and relevant Level 2 Childcare Qualification - Essential
- Over 1 year's experience working in Early Years - Essential
- Previous experience working with babies under 2 years old - Desirable
- Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating - Desirable
- Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
- Fluent in written and spoken English - Essential
