Your Role as Room Leader As a Room Leader, you will: Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences tailored to children\’s age and development. Support the holistic development of children, focusing on their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional needs. Assist staff in maintaining high-quality updates on the EyLog system and children\’s learning journals. Lead by example, promoting respect and credibility in your role. Implement an effective key person approach to foster secure attachments for children. Maintain accurate records related to children and staff on the EyMan system. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor. Understand and uphold the statutory framework for the EYFS. Note: Duties and responsibilities may evolve, and additional tasks relevant to this role may be assigned. What We’re Looking For To thrive in this role, you should have: Level 3 Childcare Qualification: Full and relevant qualification is essential. Experience: Over 1 year in Early Years is essential; over 6 months in a senior position is desirable. Ofsted Knowledge: Familiarity with Ofsted expectations for achieving a Good or Outstanding rating is desirable. EYFS Knowledge: Understanding of the statutory framework and regulatory requirements is essential. Language Skills: Fluent in written and spoken English is essential. We are committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate will be required for all posts, and this position will be subject to enhanced checks as part of our Safeguarding Duty.
