Job Title: Level 3 Nursery Practitioner

Ellingham House Day Nursery is set in a stunning Georgian country house on the outskirts of the New Forest National Park, conveniently located on Ellingham Drive with excellent commuter links via Salisbury Road. We also provide a car park for staff parking.

This Tranquil setting is surrounded by 2.5 acres of picturesque lawns and woodland, allowing children to explore, run, and develop their climbing and balancing skills in the beloved ‘bear cave.’ The nursery is also home to two adorable Valais Blacknose sheep, Baarbara and Soozie, giving children the opportunity to learn about animal care and safety firsthand.

We provide a welcoming and nurturing atmosphere with rooms thoughtfully designed and recently refurbished for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Our nursery offers a ‘home-from-home’ feel, where children feel comfortable and supported as they grow and explore.                 Â

- Plan and deliver engaging activities that are developmentally appropriate, challenging, and tailored to the individual learning needs of each child.
- Work as an active member of the team, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to develop new skills.
- Follow and review company policies and procedures regularly to ensure they are adhered to by all.
- Conduct risk assessments and report any health and safety concerns to management.
- Support children’s physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development, helping them thrive in all aspects of their early years journey.

Requirements & Skills:

- Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification (essential).
- Fluent in written and spoken English (essential).
