Your Role as Third in Charge As a vital member of our team, you will: Lead and inspire staff to ensure every child receives exceptional care and learning experiences. Create, plan, and implement engaging activities that support all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Open and close the nursery, stepping in for the Manager and Deputy Manager when needed. Design educational programs tailored to different age groups, fostering early childhood growth. Mentor and guide nursery staff, providing support and training as necessary. Build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication. Plan activities that inspire creativity, encourage social interaction, and promote physical development. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies. What We’re Looking For To thrive in this role, you should have: Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification: Essential Over 1 year’s experience in Early Years: Essential Over 6 months’ experience in a senior position: Desirable Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations: Desirable Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS: Essential Fluency in written and spoken English: Essential We are committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
