Small People Nursery is looking for a reliable and detail-focused Housekeeper to support our busy childcare team in maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment for our children. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in high standards of cleanliness and enjoys working as part of a supportive nursery team. You will be responsible for ensuring that all nursery areas are cleaned and maintained to an exceptionally high standard, helping create a safe and hygienic space where children can learn and play. This position involves evening working and key holder responsibilities.
We are looking for someone who:
- Takes pride in maintaining high cleaning standards
- Is reliable, organised and able to work independently
- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is desirable but not essential
Requirements:
- Carry out daily cleaning across the nursery including classrooms, bathrooms, corridors and staff areas
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in line with nursery hygiene procedures
- Clean toilets, sinks and changing areas and dispose of waste appropriately
- Replenish cleaning supplies and report low stock to management
- Follow health and safety procedures, including the safe use of cleaning products
- Ensure the nursery is safe, hygienic and prepared for the following day
- Lock and secure the premises as part of key holder responsibilities
