Join Kloisters Kindergarten, Rochester! We are a warm and welcoming nursery with excellent commuter links, providing a stimulating environment where children learn and thrive every day. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day running of the nursery, lead and inspire the team, and help ensure the highest standards of care, learning, and compliance. You will work closely with the Nursery Manager to create a positive environment for children, families, and staff. This is a full-time role, 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.
- Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery.
- Assist in managing the acceptance and administration of medication and ensure care plans are thorough and up to date for children or staff with health conditions.
- Ensure that all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
- Promote respect and credibility for this position through effective communication skills, impartiality, and consistency.
- Inspire staff team with creative ideas and new challenges with aim to achieve outstanding practice.
- Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.
Requirements:
- Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
- Over 1 years experience of working in Early Years - Essential
- Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
- Over 1 years experience of working in a management position - Desirable
- Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable
- Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding - Desirable
