We are looking for a Housekeeper to work alongside our busy childcare team. The role would include general cleaning in a variety of rooms including bathrooms, ensuring exceptionally high quality clean spaces for our children to use. The ideal candidate would be confident using the correct sprays for cleaning, helping with the daily washing and getting involved with the washing up.

This position is for 10 hours per week across 5 days.

Requirements:
  • Have previous cleaning or housekeeping experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Be reliable, organised, and able to work independently
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all nursery rooms, including playrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal areas
  • Carry out daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitising surfaces, and emptying bins
  • Clean and disinfect children's bathrooms, nappy changing areas, and high-touch surfaces in line with hygiene standards
  • Support with laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organising children's bedding, towels, and uniforms
  • Assist with washing up and maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and food preparation areas
  • Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are used safely and stored correctly
  • Replenish cleaning supplies and notify management when stock levels are low
  • Follow health and safety procedures, COSHH guidelines, and infection control policies at all times
  • Work collaboratively with the childcare team to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children and staff
  • Support with periodic deep cleaning tasks as required
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding procedures within the nursery setting
