How to prepare for a job interview at Family First Nursery Group

Know Your EYFS Framework

Make sure you brush up on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework before your interview. Being able to discuss how you would implement its principles in a nursery setting will show that you’re not just familiar with it, but that you can apply it effectively.

Showcase Your Creativity

Prepare to share specific examples of how you've created stimulating and engaging activities for children in your previous roles. Think about how you can demonstrate your ability to foster curiosity and creativity through play, as this is key to the role.

Highlight Teamwork Skills

Since the nursery values a strong team culture, be ready to talk about your experiences working collaboratively with colleagues. Share instances where you’ve contributed to team meetings or supported your peers, as this will resonate well with their ethos.

Emphasise Hygiene Practices

Given the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in a nursery environment, prepare to discuss how you ensure these standards are met. You could mention specific routines you’ve implemented or how you promote hygiene among children, which will show your commitment to their wellbeing.
