We are looking for a Deputy Manager who is passionate and committed to supporting and developing a dedicated team of staff, driving quality standards, and ensuring that every child receives the care and education they need to thrive. As part of our growing team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of care and education are delivered to the children and families we serve. If you are passionate about early years education and dedicated to making a real impact, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.
- Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery.
- Assist in managing the acceptance and administration of medication and ensure care plans are thorough and up to date for children or staff with health conditions.
- Ensure that all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
- Promote respect and credibility for this position through effective communication skills, impartiality, and consistency.
- Inspire staff team with creative ideas and new challenges with the aim to achieve outstanding practice.
- Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file.
- Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.
- Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification – Essential.
- Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years – Essential.
- Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements – Essential.
- Over 1 year’s experience of working in a management position – Desirable.
- Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership – Desirable.
- Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding – Desirable.
- Right to work in the UK – Essential (Valid passport or settled/pre‑settled under the EU settlement scheme).
Annual Leave: 24 days to start, plus
