Your Role as Nursery Third in Charge:
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences tailored to children's age and development
- Enhance children's physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development
- Assist staff in updating the EyLog system and child learning journals with high-quality documentation
- Lead by example, promoting respect and credibility in your position
- Support the implementation of an effective key person approach to foster secure attachments
- Maintain accurate records and accounts related to children and staff on the EyMan system
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor
- Understand and meet the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS
What You Need:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Essential: Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification
- Essential: Over 1 year’s experience working in Early Years
- Desirable: Over 6 months’ experience in a senior position
- Desirable: Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations for achieving a Good or Outstanding rating
- Essential: Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements
- Essential: Fluency in written and spoken English
