Your Role as Room Leader

  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences tailored to children's age and development.
  • Support the holistic development of children, focusing on their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional needs.
  • Assist staff in maintaining high-quality updates on the EyLog system and children's learning journals.
  • Lead by example, promoting respect and credibility in your role.
  • Implement an effective key person approach to foster secure attachments for children.
  • Maintain accurate records related to children and staff on the EyMan system.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor.
  • Understand and uphold the statutory framework for the EYFS.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 Childcare Qualification: Full and relevant qualification is essential.
  • Experience: Over 1 year in Early Years is essential; over 6 months in a senior position is desirable.
  • Ofsted Knowledge: Familiarity with Ofsted expectations for achieving a Good or Outstanding rating is desirable.
  • EYFS Knowledge: Understanding of the statutory framework and regulatory requirements is essential.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in written and spoken English is essential.
