Your Role as Room Leader

As a Room Leader, you will play a crucial role in shaping the experiences of our children. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating stimulating and purposeful learning experiences tailored to children's developmental stages
  • Supporting the holistic development of children—physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally
  • Assisting staff in maintaining high-quality updates on the EyLog system and children's learning journals
  • Leading by example to promote respect and credibility within the team
  • Implementing an effective key person approach to foster secure attachments
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with the EYFS statutory framework
  • Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor

What You Need to Succeed

  • Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
  • Over 1 year’s experience in Early Years - Essential
  • Over 6 months’ experience in a senior position - Desirable
  • Knowledge of Ofsted expectations for achieving a Good or Outstanding rating - Desirable
  • Understanding of the EYFS statutory framework and regulatory requirements - Essential
  • Fluency in written and spoken English - Essential
