Family First is on a mission to become the number one quality childcare provider in the UK. Since starting out with just 4 nurseries in London in 2019, we've grown to over 100 nurseries across the country, without ever losing sight of what matters most: putting families, children and colleagues first.

We're now looking for a Bank Recruiter to join our team and help us build and maintain a reliable bank of flexible staff across our nursery network. We'd love to hear from agency recruiters looking to make the move in-house, as well as those already working in-house.

Your Benefits

  • Hybrid Working: just 1 day per week in the Welwyn Garden City office, the rest from home
  • Career Growth: genuine development opportunities within a fast-growing group
  • Health & Wellbeing Support: confidential helpline and wellbeing resources
  • Supportive Culture: a warm, collaborative team who live and breathe our INSPIRE values
  • Company Pension

The Role

As Bank Recruiter, you'll own end-to-end recruitment for our internal staff bank, working closely with Nursery Managers, Area Managers and HR Partners to make sure every nursery has access to flexible cover, in the right place, at the right time. You will:

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing through to onboarding, for a growing pool of flexible bank workers
  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers to understand short-notice and ongoing cover needs across the nursery network
  • Proactively source and pipeline flexible talent through social media, job boards, CV databases and direct attraction methods
  • Maintain and grow a live bank of ready-to-deploy staff, keeping availability and compliance status up to date
  • Match bank staff to shifts quickly and accurately, balancing worker preferences with nursery needs
  • Track recruitment KPIs, including bank fill rates and reduction in reliance on agency cover
  • Champion diversity, equality and inclusion throughout every stage of the hiring process

About You

You're a confident, tenacious recruiter who genuinely enjoys spotting great talent and building relationships that last.

Essential:

  • Proven experience as a recruiter, with a track record of sourcing and placing quality candidates
  • Strong understanding of direct sourcing methods, including social media and job boards
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple vacancies and priorities at once, including high-volume or fast turnaround roles

Desirable:

  • Previous experience within a staffing bank, temp desk, or high-volume flexible recruitment environment
  • Experience recruiting within a governed or high compliance sector (e.g. childcare, education, healthcare, financial services)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of market mapping, headhunting and talent pipelining

Why Join Us?

As part of the Family First Group, you'll play a genuinely strategic role in shaping how we attract and retain flexible talent across the business, with real scope to influence resourcing strategy and grow your career alongside a company that's still expanding fast.

Apply today and help us find the people who'll help every Family First nursery thrive.
