Hours of Work:

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00am - 5:30pm
  • Saturdays: 9:00am - 1:00pm (some Saturdays off)

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience

About the Role

We are seeking fully qualified Mechanics, Light Vehicle Technicians, and Fitters to join our expanding workshop team. Family Cars NI is a family-run business built on traditional values, with honesty, integrity, and customer service at the heart of everything we do. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for motivated and skilled individuals to join our friendly and dedicated team. Working on a wide range of vehicle makes and models, you will carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and fitting work while maintaining the high standards of workmanship and customer service that our business is known for. This is not a bonus-based role. We believe in paying our staff fairly for their skills, experience, and the quality of their work.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carry out vehicle servicing and routine maintenance
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and complete associated repairs
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
  • Fit and replace components including brakes, suspension parts, exhausts, clutches, timing belts, and other vehicle systems
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out
  • Work independently and as part of the workshop team
  • Follow all health and safety procedures

What We're Looking For

  • Fully qualified Mechanic, Light Vehicle Technician, Fitter, or similar automotive experience
  • Good understanding of vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repair procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
