Responsibilities in your new role as Sommelier:

In your role as Sommelier, you will curate and maintain a balanced, diverse, and profitable wine list that complements our hotel’s culinary philosophy. You'll manage the entire wine inventory, including ordering, receiving, cellar organization, and stock rotation, and ensure we stay on track with wine costs, pricing, and GP targets while delivering premium experiences for our guests. You'll also develop seasonal updates for the wine list, provide personalised wine recommendations, conduct tableside service, handle special event arrangements, organize wine events, build relationships within the industry, and contribute to our hotel’s promotional activities to showcase our exceptional wine program.

Your personality, experience and qualifications:

We are looking for a certified Sommelier (preferably WSET Level 3/Advanced, or equivalent) with at least 2 years of experience in a luxury hotel or Michelin-standard restaurant. You should possess extensive knowledge of international wines, viticulture, and food pairings, along with a strong understanding of wine storage, cellar management, and beverage cost control. Excellent communication, guest service, and presentation skills are essential, as is the ability to train and motivate the wider team.
