We’re working with GAP Group, a leading hire solutions business who is looking for a Regional Generator Engineer to support their Power Solutions division. In this role, you’ll help ensure customers can access the equipment they need, when they need it, by maintaining and servicing a range of power equipment, including generators up to 500KVA and associated ancillaries.

Responsibilities in your role as a Regional Generator Engineer:
As a Regional Generator Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring equipment is available, reliable, and ready to meet customer demand across the region. You’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of power equipment within the fleet, including generators up to 500KVA. Working as part of the regional team, you’ll travel to customer sites to diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently. This will include working with Stage V generators, AMF/MDU systems, and distribution and cabling equipment. You’ll also be responsible for accurately recording all service and maintenance activity, ensuring compliance and maintaining high standards of operational performance.
Your personality, experience and qualifications:
We’re looking for someone with proven experience within a diesel Generator Engineer. You should bring sound and current knowledge of diesel engines and generators, which is highly desirable. You should have a customer-focused approach to workload, along with strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively under pressure and be a committed team player. A valid driving license would be preferable but not essential.
