About the Role

As an Early Years Teacher Apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced practitioners while studying towards your Level 5 qualification. You’ll play an active role in creating a warm, engaging, and enriching environment where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to learn. With guidance and training, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the learning and development of children aged 0–5 through play‑based and structured activities
  • Assisting in planning and delivering engaging experiences in line with the EYFS framework
  • Building positive relationships with children, supporting their emotional and social development
  • Ensuring a safe, secure, and inclusive environment by following safeguarding procedures
  • Observing, assessing, and recording children’s progress with support from senior staff
  • Working in partnership with parents and carers to support each child’s development
  • Actively participating in your apprenticeship training, coursework, and professional development

You’ll need

  • A Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
  • A willingness to learn and complete a Level 6 Early Years Teacher Apprenticeship
  • Basic knowledge of the EYFS (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive, can‑do attitude and commitment to personal development
  • A current Enhanced DBS or willingness to undergo a check
