What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and inspiring your room team with clear vision, energy and empathy
- Creating a rich, enabling environment where children can thrive
- Ensuring day-to-day room operations run smoothly and safely
- Embedding our curriculum, values, and high standards into everyday practice
- Monitoring progress and supporting your team’s individual training and development
- Working closely with families to build strong partnerships and share in each child’s journey
- Carrying out regular audits, risk assessments, and action plans as required
About You
We’re looking for someone who is more than just experienced – we want a role model, a motivator, and a lifelong learner. You’ll need to have:
- A Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
- Proven leadership experience in a room or unit within a nursery setting
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS and a child-centred, inclusive approach
- Experience in a preschool or baby room (ideally both!)
- Up-to-date Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene certificates
- Excellent communication and people skills – someone who builds strong, positive relationships with children, families and teams
- A valid enhanced DBS check (or be willing to undertake one)
- Flexibility and a proactive, can-do attitude
