We are recruiting an Early Years Level 5 Apprentice to join our team at Little Adventures Nursery in St Phillips. This apprenticeship is ideal for an experienced level 3 practitioner, who is committed to developing professionally within early years education and wishes to gain a Level 5 qualification while working with children aged 0–5 years. Working alongside experienced practitioners and mentors, the apprentice will support the planning and delivery of high‑quality, inclusive play‑based learning that promotes children’s development, wellbeing and readiness for school.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the planning, implementation and evaluation of observation‑led learning activities.
  • Promoting children’s personal, social, emotional and communication development through nurturing interactions.
  • Contributing to assessment and record‑keeping in line with nursery policies and the apprenticeship requirements.
  • Maintaining a safe, hygienic and stimulating learning environment.
  • Working with families to share progress and support continuity of care and learning.
  • Participating in team meetings, supervision and professional development activities.
  • Complying with safeguarding, health & safety and confidentiality procedures at all times.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A genuine interest in early years education and a desire to achieve a Level 5 qualification.
  • Already hold a level 3 Qualification in Early Years.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues and families.
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
  • Commitment to inclusive practice and children’s welfare and safeguarding.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy; willingness to complete any required functional skills or portfolio work.
  • Previous experience or volunteering in a childcare setting is desirable but not essential.

Hours: 40 hours per week Monday–Friday (actual daily hours to be agreed)
