We are looking for an experienced people manager who has a passion for supporting individuals, families and communities through mental health crises. An exciting role that allows you to help shape the service, you will work to increase reach and drive quality through a strong collaborative approach.
A new service in the area, Wigan Crisis Space provides a safe space for those experiencing mental and emotional distress, and suicidal ideation. Forming part of the Greater Manchester VCSE crisis pathway, we are an out-of-hours, non-clinical alternative to A&E for adults to access timely compassionate support from trained recovery workers – the service operates from 3pm to 10pm, 7 days a week.
As the Service Manager, you will have a strong knowledge of the mental health landscape and a strong track record of effective management. You will have responsibility for two Team Leaders as well as overall leadership of the staff team (totalling 8). You will work closely with other service providers, as well as our Operational Manager, to offer first-class support for Wigan residents.
