A well-established and highly regarded law firm based in North West London is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join its busy Conveyancing department. This is an excellent remote opportunity for a proactive and highly organised Legal Secretary with proven experience across both residential and commercial conveyancing matters, looking to join a reputable and growing legal practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing full secretarial support to the Partner within the Conveyancing department
- Preparing legal documents, correspondence, contracts, and carrying out typing/audio typing via digital dictation
- Handling residential and commercial conveyancing matters from instruction through to post-completion
- Preparing initial contract packs, completion statements, and supporting documentation
- Opening files and conducting anti-money laundering (AML) checks and compliance procedures
- Assisting with Land Registry applications, registrations, and submission of SDLT returns
- Supporting commercial property transactions and portfolio purchases
- Assisting with post-completion matters including Land Registry and Companies House registrations
- Managing diaries, calls, client liaison, and maintaining strong communication with all parties throughout transactions
Key Skills:
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within commercial and residential conveyancing is essential
- Strong knowledge of both residential and commercial conveyancing procedures
- Excellent audio typing and digital dictation skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and communication abilities
