Our client is a specialist property finance provider delivering tailored bridging and development lending solutions across both residential and commercial sectors. We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their growing accounts team which supports the finance and accounting functions across loan operations. Based in state-of-the-art offices in North London, this role offers an excellent benefits package, including private medical insurance, a pension scheme and ongoing training opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform bank reconciliations across multiple accounts, handling high volumes of transactions in a fast-paced environment.
- Process bookkeeping and journal entries with accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage daily payment runs and payment processing.
- Oversee receivables allocation and provide ongoing monitoring and follow-up.
- Draft portfolio statements for funders with attention to detail.
- Prepare mortgage and repayment statements for borrowers.
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with general financial administration, working confidently with large transaction volumes and frequent reconciliations.
Key Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in a bookkeeping / finance position, ideally within an accountancy practice or property finance (e.g. buy-to-let, bridging, residential or commercial lending).
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero).
- Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping.
- Experience in accounts payable/receivable.
- Confident communicator with strong written and verbal English skills.
- Accounting or bookkeeping qualifications (e.g. AAT, ACCA foundation) - essential.
