Overview

Our client, a well-established property management company in North London, is seeking an experienced Property Manager to join their growing team.

As Property Manager, you will act as the key point of contact for tenants, landlords, and councils, ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of property management while maintaining high standards of compliance and service.

This is a full-time role, Monday–Friday 9:00am–5:30pm with on-site parking available.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of residential properties, including HMOs and council housing.
  • Act as the primary contact for tenants, landlords and councils.
  • Oversee daily maintenance issues, repairs, and refurbishment works with contractors.
  • Ensure property compliance (EPCs, electrical and gas safety, HMO licensing, etc.).
  • Handle redecoration projects, budgets, and landlord approvals.
  • Maintain organised digital property files and circulate tenant/resident communications.
  • Manage rent arrears and chase payments.
  • Arrange inspections, surveys, and council appointments.
  • Liaise with the legal department to serve relevant notices (e.g., Section 8, 13, 21).

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in residential property management, including HMOs.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance requirements and property legislation (RICS Code of Practice, HMO regulations, council standards).
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator, able to manage relationships with tenants, landlords, councils, and contractors.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume portfolio with efficiency and professionalism.
