Overview
Our client is a well-known global importer of leading fashion and sportswear brand names, with head offices located in Bushey. A part-time Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant role (24 hours per week over 4 days) has arisen to join their team. This role is fully office-based and offers on-site parking.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage purchase invoices, payables and bank reconciliations for multiple accounts
- Handle import purchases
- Bank reconciliation for multi-currency bank accounts (GBP, EUR, USD)
- Process company credit card expenses
- Prepare and file UK/EU VAT returns
- Handle EC Sales and Intrastat filings
- Liaise with external accountants for quarterly and year-end accounts
Key Requirements
- Previous experience working for an import company is essential
- AAT/ACCA full or part qualified
- Proficient in Sage Line 50 and Excel
- Proven experience managing multi-currency transactions (GBP, EUR, USD)
- Highly organised with a keen eye for detail
