Overview

Our client is a well-known global importer of leading fashion and sportswear brand names, with head offices located in Bushey. A part-time Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant role (24 hours per week over 4 days) has arisen to join their team. This role is fully office-based and offers on-site parking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage purchase invoices, payables and bank reconciliations for multiple accounts
  • Handle import purchases
  • Bank reconciliation for multi-currency bank accounts (GBP, EUR, USD)
  • Process company credit card expenses
  • Prepare and file UK/EU VAT returns
  • Handle EC Sales and Intrastat filings
  • Liaise with external accountants for quarterly and year-end accounts

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience working for an import company is essential
  • AAT/ACCA full or part qualified
  • Proficient in Sage Line 50 and Excel
  • Proven experience managing multi-currency transactions (GBP, EUR, USD)
  • Highly organised with a keen eye for detail
