The business provides bridging and development finance solutions across the UK property market and is continuing to expand its lending operations. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious underwriting professional to play a key role within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment. You will manage bridging loan applications from initial enquiry through to completion, working closely with brokers, borrowers, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality lending decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess bridging and property finance applications from enquiry through to completion
- Review financials, valuations, legal documentation, and borrower profiles
- Analyse risk including creditworthiness, LTVs, exit strategies, and property security
- Prepare and present lending recommendations to credit committees
- Ensure compliance with internal lending policies and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with brokers, solicitors, valuers, and borrowers throughout the process
- Support and mentor junior underwriting staff where appropriate
About You
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within bridging finance, property finance, or real estate lending
- Strong understanding of underwriting principles and risk assessment
- Experience reviewing valuations, Land Registry documents, and legal/security structures
- Commercially minded with excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of Hebrew is desirable due to collaboration with the Israel-based head office
