A well-established and highly regarded law firm based in North West London is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join its busy Conveyancing department. This is an excellent remote opportunity for a proactive and highly organised Legal Secretary with proven experience across both residential and commercial conveyancing matters, looking to join a reputable and growing legal practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing full secretarial support to the Partner within the Conveyancing department
  • Preparing legal documents, correspondence, contracts, and carrying out typing/audio typing via digital dictation
  • Handling residential and commercial conveyancing matters from instruction through to post-completion
  • Preparing initial contract packs, completion statements, and supporting documentation
  • Opening files and conducting anti-money laundering (AML) checks and compliance procedures
  • Assisting with Land Registry applications, registrations, and submission of SDLT returns
  • Supporting commercial property transactions and portfolio purchases
  • Assisting with post-completion matters including Land Registry and Companies House registrations
  • Managing diaries, calls, client liaison, and maintaining strong communication with all parties throughout transactions

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within commercial and residential conveyancing is essential
  • Strong knowledge of both residential and commercial conveyancing procedures
  • Excellent audio typing and digital dictation skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
