A well-established firm of Chartered Surveyors in North London is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their growing team. The company also has offices in Israel, offering an exciting international aspect to the business and client base. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Assistant who enjoys working in a busy environment and managing accounts accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Maintain bookkeeping records including double-entry bookkeeping, purchase and sales ledger processing, and posting journal entries
  • Assist with the preparation of VAT returns and financial reports
  • Process invoices, payments, and monitor accounts receivable and payable functions
  • Maintain accurate financial records and provide general finance and administrative support to the wider team

Qualifications

  • Previous accounts experience, ideally within property, professional services, or a similar environment
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure
  • Knowledge of Hebrew would be advantageous due to the company’s Israeli offices and client relationships, although this is not essential
