Audit & Accounts Supervisor

A fantastic role is available for a motivated and experienced Audit & Accounts Supervisor to join a growing and dynamic accounting practice in Hertfordshire. This is a great opportunity to take responsibility for client engagements, manage accounts and audits, and support the development of junior staff in a friendly environment. Responsibilities: As an Audit & Accounts Supervisor, you will: Act as the first point of contact for allocated clients Build and maintain strong client relationships, supporting retention and identifying opportunities for additional services. Lead audit and accounts engagements, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulatory requirements and professional standards. Prepare audit planning memoranda, audit programmes, budgets, and proactively identify key audit and control risks. Supervise and coordinate junior staff, resolving queries and providing constructive feedback. Prepare audit reports, management letters, and financial statements in line with required standards. Ensure all audit and accounts work is completed accurately, on time and within budget. Support billing preparation, draft client fee quotes, and assist with proposals for small to medium engagements. You will also have: Significant experience in an accounting practice environment. ACA or ACCA qualification. Strong knowledge of accounting and audit software, with advanced Excel skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across clients, staff, and management. Proven supervisory and team-management abilities. High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
