Falx Group is looking for a motivated Associate Technical Specialist (Service Desk Engineer) to join our growing team in Leeds. This role is ideal for someone who wants to develop a strong technical foundation and progress into specialist engineering or cyber security roles. We invest heavily in training, certification, and ongoing development for every team member.
About the Role
You will act as the first point of contact for technical issues across our client environments. Your focus will be on resolving queries quickly and professionally, ensuring a smooth experience for end-users. This role also serves as a development pathway into our specialist technical and cyber security teams.
What You Will Do
- Serve as the primary responder to Service Desk tickets, providing initial diagnosis and triage.
- Diagnose and resolve common technical issues, or escalate effectively where needed.
- Work within defined SLAs and KPIs to deliver reliable support.
- Maintain and update technical documentation and internal knowledge bases.
- Carry out routine system administration and proactive environment monitoring.
- Support engineering and consulting teams during periods of lower service desk demand.
- Engage in continuous technical development through structured training and mentorship.
What You'll Bring
- Experience providing technical support within a structured service environment.
- Core understanding of IT domains such as End-User Computing, Microsoft 365, Basic Networking, and Active Directory / Entra ID administration.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with a methodical approach to resolving issues.

- Exposure to RMM tools, client management platforms, and automation technologies.
