We are now looking to recruit a Student Advisor to join our Falmouth Online team. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, this role will be responsible for leading on the delivery of an outstanding student experience for students on Falmouth University’s online courses. Falmouth’s online portfolio has grown significantly since its launch in 2016, with more than half of Falmouth’s postgraduate students studying online; the ambition is to continue this strong growth trajectory and ensure that Falmouth’s portfolio is positioned to reach new markets and meet evolving student needs.
The Student Adviser is key to providing an excellent student experience. You will be the first point of contact for non-academic student queries, responsible for providing advice and support directly to the student where appropriate and triaging/signposting where required. You will also support the Senior Student Adviser to establish and improve processes, collate student feedback and contribute to strategies for improving the student experience.
You’ll need outstanding organisational and communication skills, and although experience working within higher education would be advantageous, if you’ve got recent and relevant experience of customer/client support we can support you to adapt your skills to our environment.
Skills & Experience
- An understanding of the principles and practicalities of online learning
- Experience of complying with established policies, procedures and timescales
- Experience of providing customer/student/client support face to face, on the phone or online

This is a full‑time, 35‑hour a week position across Monday‑Friday.
This is a hybrid role with one day per week to be worked on campus.
