The Board of Governors at Falmouth University is looking for a Vice-Chancellor & Chief Executive to lead the university into its next phase. The successful candidate will provide values-led leadership that advances academic excellence, strengthens research, and positions the university at the intersection of creativity and technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clear, values-led leadership to advance academic excellence, strengthen research and knowledge exchange, and enhance the university's position.
- Champion a people-centred culture, sustain financial resilience, and deepen the university’s role as a civic and regional anchor.
- Lead the institution’s financial stewardship and governance at the highest level.
- Engage with Cornwall’s communities, economy and civic life, fostering a deep commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
Qualifications & Experience
- Senior executive experience in higher education or a comparable environment, with a strong track record of organisational leadership, financial stewardship and governance.
- Academic credibility and an affinity with creative practice, specialist education or the creative industries.
- A visible, human-centred leader who fosters trust, inclusion, and belonging.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion and a genuine desire to contribute to local communities.
