A fantastic opportunity has come up to join our dynamic quality team as a Senior Officer Quality Assurance & Enhancement (Compliance and Conduct). This is a new role focused on delivering student-facing cases support from disclosure to appeal in line with the University policy and process. This role is part of the University’s commitment to providing a positive student experience for all.
The successful candidate will be the key point of contact for compliance with the Office for Students Condition of Registration E6 Sexual Harassment and Misconduct. There will be significant liaison with internal and external partners to ensure effective coordination of investigations and cases. As well as management of cases there is a requirement to manage reporting and review policy and process to ensure they remain compliant and, most importantly, managed with a values‑led and compassionate approach.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent with experience of undertaking investigations, case management and/or complaints involving students/young adults. You will be an effective communicator and committed to providing a high level of customer service. Alongside these key skills you will have the ability to prioritise a busy workload and to work effectively to deadlines, without direct supervision.
We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:
- Sound knowledge and understanding of sector regulatory requirements, in particular those around OfS condition of registration E6.
- An awareness of current developments around regulatory frameworks and quality assurance within Higher Education.
- Experience of working with a high level of autonomy and trust.
- Able to deal with sensitive situations with empathy, compassion and a values‑led approach.
- High level of personal resilience.
This is an exciting and integral role that will help Falmouth continue to manage student cases in a fair and compassionate way. This is a permanent, part-time, 14 hours a week position.
