We are currently seeking a Finance Administrator to work within the University’s Finance team, contributing to the smooth running of the sales ledgers and credit control processes with a particular focus on student finance. Within this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the student finance sales ledger together with carrying out credit control procedures, alongside performing other sales related reconciliations and tasks on a rota‑basis. Our finance team is established with around twenty team members; this varied role offers a great opportunity to join a close‑knit, skilled team in an excellent working environment.

The ideal candidate for this role will be accurate, conscientious, efficient, hard‑working, and able to manage their own workload, while also working alongside colleagues within the team in a collaborative manner. As well as these core qualities, you’ll have excellent numeracy and communication skills. We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:

  • Previous experience of working within a finance environment and working with a wide range of people in a customer facing role.
  • Excellent numeracy and IT skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to tailor verbal and written communications to be well understood by all parties.

This position is offered on a fixed term for 12 months, part‑time, 21 hours per week contract. The working hours will be Monday 6 hours, Tuesday to Thursday 5 hours each day. This is the envisaged working hours, but a final working pattern can be discussed with the successful candidate. We can offer a hybrid working arrangement for this role with a mix of on‑campus/home working each week with a minimum of three days a week to be on‑campus based in Falmouth.
