An opportunity for an enthusiastic Senior Administrator to join our small and supportive team for a fixed term from September 2026 to the end of June 2027. This post is within Falmouth University’s Faculty of Creative Arts & Communication, which encompasses the Falmouth School of Art, the Institute of Photography, and the School of Communication.
The Faculty Administration team contributes to Falmouth’s excellent student experience by contracting visiting lecturers, organising study trips, purchasing materials for student shows, exhibitions and events, participating in Student Staff Liaison Group meetings, and supporting academic staff with research projects. The role primarily supports courses within the Falmouth School of Art and collaborates closely with another Senior Administrator who shares the week for that department. It may also require covering for other Senior Administrators who support the faculty’s other two departments.
Responsibilities
- Provide proactive, flexible, and solution‑focused support in a busy environment.
- Work collaboratively as part of the Faculty Administration Team.
- Assist with faculty administrative duties, including managing schedules, coordinating events, supporting staff and student communications, and contributing to continuous improvement of systems and processes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, SharePoint, Outlook.
- Confidence in mastering a range of systems, platforms and processes and in taking opportunities to inform continuous improvement.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with colleagues and external contacts.
- Confidence to work unsupervised, forward‑planning and managing workload, prioritising to meet multiple deadlines.
