We are now seeking to recruit a highly motivated Applicant Services Officer on a fixed term basis, to work within the team who are responsible for managing all stages of the ‘applicant journey’ from the initial application to enrolment, providing admissions advice and guidance to applicants, academic staff and other stakeholders. This is an interesting and varied role working within a fun and hardworking team who work closely with academic colleagues and EU and International Agents.
The post holder will be expected to develop student information systems and business processes and ensure that they effectively support the needs of applicants, staff and other stakeholders.
The successful candidate for this role will need to be highly organised, able to work proactively as a team as well as independently with a proven record of building and sustaining productive working relationships with key stakeholders. You should be educated to degree level or be able to demonstrate equivalent and extensive work-based learning in a relevant environment.
We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Excel and Outlook, and experience of working with a wide variety of computer systems and packages.
- Experience of providing excellent customer service and being service focused.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and confidentially, verbally and in writing.
- Experience of complying with laid down policies, procedures and timescales.
This is a fixed term maternity cover, until September 2027, full time position working 35 hours across Monday-Friday. The position is hybrid with 2 days per week on campus.
