The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

Direct Reports: Grounds Supervisor, 7 Multiskilled Operatives (Grounds); two Environmental Education and Enforcement Officers; Cemeteries Officer; two Sports Pitch Attendants.

Contract: Permanent, full-time, 37 hours per week.

About the job: Lead the way in shaping safe, accessible and attractive open spaces for our town. Duties will include managing and maintaining the Council’s parks, gardens, cemeteries and open spaces to a high standard for our residents, communities and visitors, and delivering environmental education and enforcement services.

About you: You’ll need proven experience of leading and managing people as well as being up to date with risk management and health and safety legislation. You’ll need great communication skills and be able to work well with colleagues, partners, community groups and contractors. You’ll bring a genuine passion for protecting our local environment and driving sustainability and biodiversity initiatives through the leadership of your team.
